About AAPL Courses and Credentialling

We offer AAPL-backed credentialling via our Certified Private Lender Associate and Certified Fund Manager programs to assist your understanding of established best practices and distinguish yourself as a dedicated professional in our space.

You are eligible to take a course if you are a current Named Member in good standing. All courses are $349 in addition to annual membership dues. You must maintain your AAPL membership to keep your credentialling active.

Please note, while CPLA and CFM credentialling are backed by AAPL as the oldest and largest membership association for private lenders, these programs do not count toward any pre-licensing or continuing education you may be required to complete for a government-administered license. Our credentialling is not a license to practice, nor are our programs accredited.

Credentialling Programs

The CPLA course provides a comprehensive overview of the principals of private lending and includes detailed information about federal law and industry regulation.
