AAPLonline_AboutAAPL_300x200Formed in 2009, the American Association of Private Lenders (AAPL) is the national organization representing the private real estate and peer-to-peer lending industry. Our membership includes private money lenders, hard money lenders, mortgage fund managers, brokers and service providers from around the United States.

We believe our principles – ethics, education, excellence – are the cornerstone for success in the industry. AAPL members are leaders and embody the character, dedication and experience critical for success.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be a nationally renowned association within the industry of private lending. One that is clearly defined and well organized around the shared principles of cooperation, education, ethics, and accountability.

AAPL operates as a codifying force and an unbiased knowledge custodian for lenders, investors, borrowers, media and general public. Our intention is to facilitate the growth of our members and uphold better business practices by following the standards outlined in our Code of Ethics.

AAPL Team Core Values

As we grow as an association, it has become more and more important to explicitly define the core values from which we develop our culture, our brand, and our business strategies:

Integrity – We believe that as a company we have moral obligations as well as commercial ones. We are committed to working as a company that focuses on treating others as we would hope to be treated – with honesty, fairness, integrity and abiding by our word.
