Presented By: AAPL’s Government Relations Committee
Government policy has a direct impact on the everyday practice of private real estate lending. With recent trends pointing toward ever-increasing regulation, it is more important today than ever that private lenders are heard in the halls of federal and state legislatures.
AAPL’s advocacy role is to:
1) Serve as a unified voice for the private real estate lending profession;
2) Impact state and federal legislation/regulation/policy where it affects our profession;
3) Provide a platform for AAPL members’ participation in the democratic process;
4) Educate and inform public policy makers, influencers, and citizens with its specialized knowledge and expertise.
We host a quarterly Legislative Town Hall as a forum for our members to receive updates on our Government Relations Committee’s actions/outcomes and to ask questions and provide feedback/suggestions regarding advocacy efforts.

AAPL’s ongoing State of the Industry series discusses real-time data and brings in top experts for a realistic view of today’s private lending market.
For this update, here’s what we know: The Fed appears to be slowing down if not plateauing rate hikes.
How will this change effect the private lending marketplace? What is the current capital markets environment and Wall Street appetite for private lending loan products?
Ryan Shanberg with Nomura and Brian Warnow with Piper Sandler join Nema Daghbandan with Lightning Docs to provide this timely market update.
Nomura remains on the cutting edge of Bridge and DSCR securitizations and other capital solutions for the Private Lending community. Lightning Docs, the official Loan Documents of AAPL, continues to aggregate real-time loan data to provide insights into this opaque market.
AAPL Members may attend the live broadcast for immediate access to actionable, business-changing information. Recordings will be released to the public two weeks following the webinar.
