Networking opportunities, industry knowledge, member directory

Why did you become a member?

To keep abreast of trends in the market and potential regulatory or accounting issues that may impact our business.

What is your favorite AAPL memory (event, activity, training)?

Definitely, getting featured on the cover of Private Lender magazine.

Why did you decide to enter the private lending profession?

After more than 20 years working directly and indirectly for a number of institutional lenders, I realized that there were a number of attractive opportunities that were out of reach of traditional lenders. Working with a private lender allows me to connect smart capital and borrowers with strong business plans.

What are some accomplishments you are particularly proud of?

Recapitalizing the business in 2017, attracting smart and strategic institutional capital.  Becoming the gold standard for securitized products in the single-family rental space.

Tell us something fun about yourself (a hobby, a favorite thing, a quote you love, etc.)

I have enjoyed taking my family on interesting trips around the world, often taking advantage of what I’ve learned on business trips to create interesting experiences on holidays.

What is your favorite book, and why?

The Fountainhead, which combines real estate and architecture with an idealized social system.
