Kansas City, Missouri – April 15, 2020 – The American Association of Private Lenders (AAPL) is excited to announce the launch of its first-ever online designation course, Certified Fund Manager.

AAPL designation courses prior to the launch have only been available as in-person courses alongside the association’s Annual Conference and select partner events.

“Bringing CFM online is a huge step forward in making our in-depth learning more accessible, said Linda Hyde, AAPL’s managing director. “While there is something to be said for the personal nature of a classroom environment, we recognize the importance of making our proprietary coursework available when travel isn’t possible or timely.”

CFM online takes a video format, with users progressing through modules at their own pace before taking a final exam. Passing the final exam earns the same certificate and designation emblem as the in-person course.

Certified Fund Manager Online, like its classroom predecessor, bridges industry practices, investment theory, ethical issues, and professional standards to provide investment analysis and portfolio management skills. Topics include Pros, Cons & Considerations, Fund Structure, Creation & Launch, Ongoing Administration, and more.

“While we’ve had this in the works since long before the coronavirus outbreak, with many of our membership now working remotely we’ve had more requests than ever,” said Hyde. “We’re pleased to be able to bring this to our membership right when it is needed most.”

The course, like all AAPL designations, is available to AAPL members only. Members may register for $349 at aaplonline.com/CFM or via their member dashboard.
