AAPL Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the websites, applications, publications, events, and other services operated by the American Association of Private Lenders, LLC (“AAPL,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should discontinue use of the Services.
The AAPL Member Agreement governs Member status, eligibility, Benefits, screening, and related matters. If you are an AAPL Member, these Terms apply in addition to the Member Agreement.
- Permitted Use
You may use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Services.
- Circumvent or interfere with security measures.
- Scrape, harvest, copy, or systematically collect information from the Services using automated or manual means without AAPL’s prior written permission.
- Use the Services to distribute malware, spam, fraudulent communications, or other harmful material.
- Interfere with the operation, availability, or security of the Services.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
- Use the Services in any manner that could damage AAPL, its users, or third parties.
- Accounts
Certain portions of the Services require an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity occurring under your account. You agree to notify AAPL promptly of any suspected unauthorized access or security incident involving your account.
AAPL may suspend or disable accounts when reasonably necessary to protect the security or integrity of the Services.
- User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit to AAPL.
By submitting content through the Services, you grant AAPL a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, distribute, modify only as reasonably necessary for formatting or publication, and otherwise use that content for the purpose for which it was submitted and for operating, promoting, or archiving AAPL’s Services.
You represent that you have the legal right to submit the content and that it does not violate applicable law or the rights of others.
AAPL may remove or decline to publish content that violates these Terms or other applicable AAPL policies.
- Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, the Services and their contents, including text, graphics, logos, photographs, videos, software, publications, and other materials, are owned by or licensed to AAPL and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except as expressly permitted by law or by written authorization from AAPL, you may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit AAPL content.
The names “American Association of Private Lenders,” “AAPL,” related logos, and associated marks are the exclusive property of AAPL unless otherwise indicated.
- Copyright Concerns
AAPL respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of its websites and services to do the same. If you believe material appearing on an AAPL website infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please notify AAPL at contact@aaplonline.com. Your notice should include sufficient information to identify the work claimed to be infringed, the location of the allegedly infringing material, your contact information, and a statement describing the basis of your claim. AAPL will review all notices received in good faith and may remove or restrict access to material where appropriate.

Notices should comply with the requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3). Upon receipt of a compliant notice, AAPL will investigate and take action as appropriate under the DMCA.
- Third-Party Services
The Services may include links to, integrations with, or information provided by third-party organizations, vendors, advertisers, sponsors, or service providers.
AAPL does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their content, availability, products, services, security, or privacy practices. Your interactions with third parties are governed by their own terms and policies.
- Availability

AAPL may modify, suspend, discontinue, or update any portion of the Services at any time without prior notice.

References to, participation by, or publication of authors, speakers, sponsors, advertisers, exhibitors, vendors, Members, or other third parties do not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, certification, guarantee, or representation by AAPL regarding any person, organization, product, or service.
- Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AAPL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to the use of the Services.
AAPL’s total liability arising from these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the amount paid directly to AAPL by the user for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim during the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not permit certain limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
- Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AAPL, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, volunteers, and agents from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your violation of these Terms, misuse of the Services, or infringement of another person’s rights.
- Privacy
Your use of the Services is also governed by AAPL’s Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information.
- Changes to These Terms
AAPL may update these Terms from time to time.
Material changes will become effective upon posting unless a later effective date is specified. Continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
- Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles.
If you are an AAPL Member, any arbitration provisions contained in the AAPL Member Agreement shall also apply to disputes arising from your use of the Services to the extent permitted by law.
For users who are not Members, any legal action relating to these Terms shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in the State of Florida unless applicable law requires otherwise.
- Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

The American Association of Private Lenders, LLC (“AAPL,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly and transparently.
